Pearl Abyss has shared fresh details on the Crimson Desert co-op hunting mode — the feature that turned heads in the latest trailer and drew instant Monster Hunter comparisons. Here’s everything we now know about how it works.

What “Adventure mode” is

Adventure mode is an instanced co-op experience for up to four players. You and your party hunt large field bosses across the open world, each hunt built around tracking, engaging, and ultimately breaking down a big target. It sits entirely outside the single-player campaign but uses the same combat system and world.

How bosses work

💡 Pearl Abyss stresses the mode is optional and separate from the main story — you can drop in and out without spoiling or abandoning the single-player campaign, and rewards carry to your account profile.

How it connects to the campaign

While Adventure mode is standalone, some of the philosophy carries over. The team says the open world is built to feel dangerous, with roaming threats that reward preparation — an approach Monster Hunter fans will recognize and immediately enjoy.
